Multi media artist/poet/educator Mary Jo Lombardo’s work is conceptual in nature.  It reflects on a world where time, memory, and a bittersweet life view combine in a flexible, nonlinear expression. A certified art and theater teacher in the State of Connecticut, she studied at Mount Holyoke College, with Yale University’s Robert Reed, and with Vijay Kumar from Manhattan Graphics and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking. Ms. Lombardo has been featured in one person and group shows at A.I.R., Minor Injury, Fools Company and 7th and 2nd Galleries in New York City; Asylum Arts, Eclectic in Denver, The Housatonic Museum of Art, The Silvermine Guild, Lyman Center at Southern Connecticut State University, Westport Art Center, Earthplace and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Connecticut; among others. She recently completed a "moveable mural" for Middle Collegiate Church in the East Village in New York City, and an installation project, A Women's Wailing Wall, in conjunction with the conference "Women, War & Peace" at Southern Connecticut State University. She is an art teacher in the Westport, CT public school system as well as at the Westport Arts Center. Her work is in many private and corporate collections.
